BQ20Z90: Difference between low-frequency and high-frequency oscillator

what's the difference betweenlow-frequency and high-frequency oscillator? how to switch from high to low frequency? is it automatic or controlled by register? when to switch two modes?

First of all, the bq20z90 is a NRND device reserved for specific customers. I would suggest you take a look at bq40z50-R2.

The oscillators should be controlled by the gauge device itself and customers don't need to control it.

Can you show me more information how to control it for BQ40Z50?

And I still didn’t know the difference between high and low oscillator, can you clarify it in soon?

Hello David,

There's no external or register control of the oscillators. There are different parts of our gauge circuitry that runs off the HFO and others that run off the LFO. Depending on the power mode our gauge would switch circuitry to run off HFO or LFO. It's not user configurable. Please refer to datasheet for the electrical characteristic of the HFO and LFO. Any further detail is proprietary and requires an NDA.
