Charger, balancer & fuel gauge for lipo battery 6S ~4500mA

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ76952, BQ34110, BQ24610

Hi there,

I am designing a mini pc solution that will integrate a 6S 4500mA lipo battery. https://www.gensace.de/tattu-4500mah-22-2v-25c-6s1p-lipo-battery-pack.html

Since we are targeting the least possible service, repair & support and therefore best possible monetary performance we are looking into integrating the best charger, balancer & fuel gauge monitor ICs.

I was looking into BQ24610 (charger), BQ76952 (monitor) and BQ34110 (fuel gauge) .

Can you pls comment regarding the use of these ICs.

Do these ICs look suitable for the battery above?

Also, i want to build a battery pack with 3pcs of the battery above connected in parallel. When i say parallel i mean all + connected together and all - connected together. However i have some doubts regarding the fuel gauge operation. I suppose that in this case 3 independent balancers should be installed with one charger and one fuel gauge.

One thing that i am worried about is the configurability of the balancer. All those programmable options are making things a bit tricky. I know that there is an autonomous mode but i will still have to do some calibrating as i read in order to get the most out of the balancer.

I would really like to have your comments and suggestions regarding the single battery case and the triple battery case.

What should i do to keep things as simple as possible?

Regards
