Hi there,

I'm working with the device BQ78350 with R2 release and the BQstudio, as you can see in the picture attach.

I would like to know where I can find a TI pdf (application note) regarding the parameter: Power->Ship>Auto ship time.

I have read the SLUUAN7B pdf, but I don't find this parameter.

In fact, I would like to know if there is a documentation regarding the BQ78350-R2-DEVICE-FW behavior. And how interact with the BQStudio.

Hi Albert,

For the BQ78350-R2, you need to refer to the BQ78350-R1 Technical Reference Manual along with The bq78350-R1 TRM Addendum for the bq78350-R2 Device.

In this document, you will find the description for Auto Ship Time.

One other app note that is helpful is the Using the BQ78350-R1 document: www.ti.com/.../slua924

I have fount it.

One more thing: when the KEYIN pin is active the DSG path is disable. And when the PRES pin is active all the path are disable.

In this conditions the SMB bus is available or disable? I mean the device will answer the SMBus commands, when some of this pins are active?

Hi Albert,

Yes, the SMBus should still be available regardless of the KEYIN and PRES pin conditions.

One more thing: the device can be shutdown based on time WITHOUT communications, see below.

Nevertheless, the device will restore the normal mode when "PACK pin > Vstartup".

Which PACK pin? What Vstartup?

This appears to be an error in the documentation. The device will return to NORMAL the same way as for the MAC Shutdown command (when voltage at TS1 pin > VBOOT). I will get this corrected in the next revision of the document.
