LMG1210: Operate at 400-500V

Hi Team,

A customer wants to build a DC/DC half bridge converter using LMG1210 at switching frequency of more than 10Mhz and input voltage of 400-500V. Is there a way that this device can operate at this condition by adding some components?

His other option is to use the single channel gate driver of LMG1020 for low and for high side. He wants to know more information about the seperating the high-side and low-side for this frequency range. If this is not possible, do we have a high-side driver that operates at higher than 10Mhz switching frequency?

    Hi Danilo,

    Thanks for your question on lmg1210,

    1210 is a 200V gate driver and is not recommended for larger HS-VSS voltages. A higher-voltage halfbridge gate driver capable of 10MHz switching is needed (which may not exist at this moment)

    You can use lmg1020 + ISO77xx signal isolator as the high-side portion of the driver. While also using 1210 for PWM  mode and deadtime.
