TPS63000 Vout tolerance under cold temperature conditions.

Team

A customer using the TPS6300 wants to know what the Vout tolerance would be at -20C.  This information is not on the datasheet.  He has selected resistor values for a nominal Vout = 3.115Vdc @ 65mA.   I would imaging that the actual Vout at any temperature is subject to variations on Vref.  Please let me know if you have any thoughts on the subject.

Enrique

  • Team,

Can anyone point me to the right TI resource who may be able to answer this question? In advance, thank you !

  • This information is not characterized or guaranteed.  The IC has been characterized over the temperature range of -40 to 85 ambient and will guarantee the Vfb voltage tolerance of +/- 1% over that range.  Data at specific temperatures is not available.

The output voltage accuracy will also depend on the external resistors used to set the output voltage.  Their variation may be equal to or even more than that caused by the internal reference.  Use low ppm, 0.1% resistors for highest accuracy.
