BQ40Z50EVM-561: BQStudio cannot recognize the board.

Hi Team, we are posting for a customer. Hoping if you can help us.

According to the customer, bq studio was recognizing earlier my board as bq40z50 R2 but they programmed firmware for bq40z50 R3 incorrectly. Now the board is not recognized. They are asking if it is possible to reset or delete the firmware written on the board to be recognizable again.

Hi Mark,

Try the following procedure and see if it works.

a) Launch bqStudio.

b) Select a bq40z50-r2 bqz file in the Target Selection Wizard

c) Go to Firmware Window

d) Select the default bq40z50-r2 firmware and program it to their board.

I tried to do this. but from where do I find the default firmware that you mentioned?

Also, my board is not recognised now! but still I proceeded and selected my gauge type. Then selected firmware tab but here where do I find the default firmware?

I have programmed .srec file for bq40z50 R3 incorrectly (from that time my board is rendered useless) BUT before I have successfully connected and my board was recognised as well. Please help

Hello again,

I found two firmwares on the TI website related for bq40z50 evm 561. There are 2 firmwares related R2 evm. Can you tell me which one should I use (V2.08 OR V2.11)? Also, Is this the one of these two versions available that you told me to program on my board? Here is the screenshot I took.
