UCC3895: Unbalanced output

Part Number: UCC3895

Hi Team,

There is an official document slua275 about UCC3895.
www.ti.com/.../slua275.pdf

When I work in the open-loop system, the output of UCC3895 is balanced.
When I work in the closed-loop system, the output of UCC3895 is unbalanced.
Is this problem consistent with the problem mentioned in the document?

Best Regards,
Tom Liu

  • Hello Liu

The problem is consistent with the offset issue noted in slua275 - does adding the resistor solve the issue?.

There are other possibilities - for example if you use a centre tapped secondary winding and the two windings have different leakage inductances to the primary then they can develop different voltages and you will see an asymmetry.

If adding the resistor fixes your issue that would be excellent. If not we can look a little deeper.

    Regards
