LMG1210: lmg1210 with a duty cycle of 100%

Hello,

The LMG1210 drives are intended for piloting a half-bridge structure. Its internal structure allows it to drive a hight side transistor with a duty cycle of 100%?

The driver is powered on the logic part and has an isolated and floating power supply directly between the HB and HS input.

Here is an example of an application diagram.

Thanks for reaching out on e2e on lmg1210.

lmg1210 cannot do 100% duty cycle on its own without something in place to keep the high-side charged up. If, like you said, the driver has an isolated supply on HB-HS then the high-side will stay replenished during the 100% duty cycle operation. This should be ok as long as the isolated supply stays within 5V and there is some currently limiting resistor in place to prevent HB from overcharging during transients.

The 1210 spice model is compatible with Pspice. For use with LTSpice, the unencrypted model net-list is needed to be converted to LTspice.
