BQ25895: Issue updating IINLIM bits

Part Number: BQ25895

Hi,

I'm using the input source type detection feature of the BQ25895 in order to detect standard and non-standard chargers.

I'm using VBUS_STAT bits (reg 0x0B) to get the USB input type. In case of a non-standard adapter, I use additional IINLIM bits (reg 0x00) to differentiate 1A/2A/2.1A/2.4A  adapters.

This works fine when the USB charger is plugged in before application starts. In case the charger is plugged after application starts or if the charger is plugged off and plugged back in, the VBUS_STAT bits are updated but not the IINLIM bits.

I'm using the BQ in host mode and I have AUTO_DPDM_EN set to 1.

What is it possible to do in order for the BQ to update the IINLIM bits when a USB charger is plugged in, and not only VBUS_STAT bits ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Oliver
