LM5060EVAL: R1 dimensioning

Part Number: LM5060EVAL
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM74800-Q1

Dear Support team,

very quick question, i see R1 on Eval board sized at 200kohm whereas on DS is recommended to keep it below 100kohm. of course there is a tradeoff of Iuvlo variation ad noise immunity VS static consumption, it is there any other consideration? of course not a huge difference but just to keep consistency

Thanks

Kind Regards

Nicola

  • Hi Nicola,

You are correct. The lower value of R1 helps to minimize UVLO variations due to UVLO_bias current but we have seen static current consumption from input is more important than UVLO accuracy for automotive application. There is no other major consideration.

By the way, what is the application ? Please also look at LM74800-Q1.

    Best Regards, Rakesh
