Hi team,

Customer want to check that if BQ24610 precharge time is longer than 1800S, will it reset the timer and continue to charge the battery?

    Hi Jeff,

     If the precharge timer is exceeded, then charge will be suspended and fault will be reported on STAT pins. Precarge timer is inbuilt at 30 minutes and cannot be configured. Timer will only be reset if

    • CE pin is toggled
    • power-on-reset (POR) event occurs.

    Precharge current an be configured through ISET2, to get a higher precharge current, so that VFB rises above VLOWV within 30 minutes to avoid tripping the precharge timer.
