Hi team,

Why the Iout max of LM25141-Q1 is 20A displayed in the ti.com? Can I use it for 25A output current? What's the risk when the output current exceeds 20A?

Hi Charles,

Thanks for the question. There is no pre-defined maximum for the output current as this is a controller. It just depends on power stage component selection (FETs and inductor) and the PCB design as these relate to the achievable thermal performance. Another key factor is the switching frequency.
