BQ34Z100-G1: ChargeCurrent() behavior outside JEITA range

Hi, I was wondering if the behavior of the ChargeCurrent() function was documented outside of the configured JEITA range.

I would like to rely on this function to stop the charger if the temperature is outside of the JEITA range. Can I assume it returns 0mA?

Yes. ChargeCurrent() should return 0mA if the temperature is out of the JEITA Range.

Hi Andy,

Thank you for quick and clear answer. I cannot find an option for a temperature hysteresis on JEITA values, is there a hard coded one to avoid oscillating around the limits?

No. There is no temperature hysteresis used.

Ok, too bad, I guess I'll have to find another way to mitigate charger ON/OFF oscillations.
