Hi, 

I have a customer who needs an advice for battery fuel gauge. The application is handheld biopsy device. I would suggest him the BQ27742-G1. What is our best fitting device when a fuel gauge with a small foot print is needed. The MCU is a Nxp processor from kinetics familiy, so I2C as com interface would be fine.  It is a single cell application and the customer is using a Panasonic NCR18650B cell.

    Hello Jan,

    I would recommend they check the GPCCHEM on chemID match.

    If they need a small footpoint, we do have a bq27421 that has an integrated sense resistor if the current thresholds do not exceed 2.5 amps.

    We also have a bq27621 which is a voltage based gauge.
