BQ35100: Calibration and calibration update

Part Number: BQ35100

Hi Team,

Checking with the calibration of BQ35100, as I understand it is only done once for calibration of voltage current and temperature. However, if the calibration is to the reconfiguration of the gauge with a new cell then the new battery command is used, right?

I understand there is also firmware running on the gauge. Is there a guide for upgrading this firmware on the field, as my customer product is an IoT device?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Renan

  • Renan,

We do not advise upgrading the FW in the field. This will clean out and update the calibration values to whatever exists in the golden file you are using.

If you have to the best option would be to use a Flash stream (.bq.fs) file. This is a file that list the I2C command needed to do the upgrade. Details can be found in

    SLUA801 TI document

    Thanks,
