Hello,

We are experimenting with UCC28064EVM-004 and we have changed the 2 interleaving chokes to an inductance of 193-228uH and a turns ratio of 53:1. The maximum RMS input voltage is 140V and we changed R15 to 200k. The main IC keeps blowing and we cannot understand why?

Let's first clarify: the EVM before your change does not have the blow-up issue, right?

If the board is blow-up only after you made change, logically, you need to trace your changes. Is your new choke current rating properly rated? During your choke change, anything possible affected such as solder short etc? Does your choke change require anything else to change?

Can you change the choke back to the original to see if blowup still there or gone? This can help you to find if the blow up is on choke change or some other area accidentally touched by your change to cause the blow up.
