UCC25600: Safely operate in open loop?

Hi there, 

Can the UCC25600 LLC controller be operated in open loop? I am looking for a controller solution to provide soft start capabilities for an LLC-DCX, followed by fixed frequency operation. Can the UCC25600 achieve this? Thank you.

    Hello Oscar

    The short answer to your question is 'Yes'.

    All you need to do is to inject the appropriate current into the RT pin. The pin is held at 2.5V so, for example a resistor of 1.25k will set a current of 2mA and a switching frequency of 150kHz.
