LP8867-Q1: Which is recommended Vin either 40V or 45V?

Part Number: LP8867-Q1

Hi team,

Could you tell me Which recommended Vin is either 40V or 45V?

Datasheet p.1 says ~40V. On the other hand, Datasheet p.5 says ~45. I guess both of them refers to Vin with recommended operating condition.

Regards,
Ochi

  • Hi Ochi-san,

the recommended working vin put range is 4.5 to 40V as the first page.

but the vout's max voltage is 45 and the max voltage of vin is 50V, so it's OK when vin is 45V, so the p.5 says up to 45V.

  • Hi Frank,

You mean ~45V input voltage is also recommended and correct circuit operation is guaranteed, is it correct?

    Regards,
    Ochi

  • i think the maximum value is important, and the voltage below the maximum is guatanteed.

The recommend value is based on customer's design, if the overshoot of input can be controled in a low level you can recommmend customer use in higher input condition if not, you should recommend customer use in low input range. the key point is not over the max vin value in customer's design.

Please don't force on the recommend value itself, and try to comprehend the enssene of the recommend value.
