TPS65910: What is the overcurrent value

Part Number: TPS65910

Hi Team,

What is the overcurrent value (Maximum) of TPS65910A3A1RSL?

Thanks,

Taishi

  • The TPS65910 has 4 DC-DC converters and 8 LDOs integrated. Many of them will have different over-current values.

Some of the regulators also have configurable maximum load currents.

For example, VIO (DC-DC converter) has PMOS current limit (high-side) configurable by ILMAX[1:0] bits. When ILMAX[1:0] = 10, the guaranteed minimum current limit is 1700mA. All devices will allow up to 1700mA (minimum guaranteed value), but the current will be limited at a slightly higher threshold. It is a minimum spec for a maximum value.

VIO also has NMOS current limit (low-side). VDD1 and VDD2 have the same PMOS current limit (high-side) and NMOS current limit (low-side) specifications but are only configurable by 1 ILMAX bit (0b or 1b).

The LDOs are specific with a different value, named "Load current limitation (short-circuit protection)" that has a guaranteed minimum value and typical value listed for each LDO.
