TPS63070EVM-693: it does not work if Vin less than 3V

the TPS63070 is a high voltage device that start up at VIN=3V, while this application is quite low in input/output voltage. 

I would suggest TPS63802 for your application.

I do not understand.
On the datasheet of the TPS63070 it is written from many parts: Input Voltage Range: 2.0 V to 16 V.
I chose this component because I really need this range of input voltage.
The component you recommend (TPS63802) is not good for my application because Input voltage range: 1.3 V to 5.5 V.
For my application I need Input Voltage Range: 2.3 to 16V.
Can you advise me the component for my application, please?

got it. the device should startup at 3V input firstly. could you try to increase the VIN higher than 3V, and back to 2.3V. 

why is the input such wide range?

If the initial voltage is 3V and then gradually drops to about 2.3V it works. But it's not the way that i want to work.
My application is battery operated.
The component will not always be turned on. I only turn it on when I need it. I need that if the battery voltage is around 2.5V,
if I turn on the boost, I need it to give me 3.3V immediately.
For my application I need Input Voltage Range: 2.3 to 16V because it's possible to use any battery's voltage.

this device can't startup at 2.3V input. that is why you observe this behavior

which kind of battery has such high voltage range?

The product can be accept any voltage of battery in the range from 3V (low battery about 2.4V) to 16V (battery pack).

if the battery is lithium-ion battery, 3V startup voltage is good enough. as the system oprerating, the battery voltage could be down to 2.4 because of the ESR of the battery.  so TPS63070 could be used

It's not the way that I want to work.
My application is battery operated.
The component TPS63070 will not always be turned on. I only turn it on when I need it.
As the system operating, the battery voltage could be down to 2.4V (the component is turned off).
If I need turn on the TPS63070, this will not turn on.

if startup from 2.4V input is must required, the TPS63070 can't support. typically, this device startup at VIn higher than 2.7V

this device is also the closest for your application. there is no better suggestion. sorry for this.
