Is this PD compatible if I were to use a front end PD chip?

    Hi Lauren,

    This charger can only communicate with USB BC1.2 adapters and other select HVDCP adapters up to 14V and 3.2A.  If host software can limit the USB type C PD output below 14V, then yes this charger is compatible.  It has its own input current limit with max setting of 3.2A.
