BQ35100: TIDCEG6B BSM_Flow_Meters downloads with malware

Hello,

When downloading the TIDCEG6B-BSM_Flow_Meters using the provided link by TI after approval, causes Avast malware scanner to report a ‘Other:Malware-gen [Trj]’ related to software-dl.ti.com with the following message (see image below). So I’m not able to download the zip-file. Could it be infected by something? And can you provide the zip-file without malware.

Hello Andy,

The mentioned link points to the sources and firmware of the TIDA-01546 (http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-01546).

At the bottom of this page, under 'Software development (1)' there is a link: http://www.ti.com/lit/zip/tidceg6

This points to an approval process to be able to download the zip-file. As a result of this approval process I received the mentioned link: https://www.ti.com/technical-documents/mytilit/litdownload?toPerform=productDownload&litNumber=tidceg6b&downloadUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fsoftware-dl.ti.com%2Fsecure%2Ftechdocs%2Ftidceg6b%2Ftidceg6b%3F__gda__%3D1591356742_9724b27d3f69f0dab1bab9b23a1132a5

So this should download the tidceg6b.zip file from the software-dl.ti.com site.

The file contains something which Avast sees as Malware. Maybe this is a false error of Avast, but I'm not able to download the file without disabling the malware scanner, which is not good.

I am almost sure that it is a false alarm since that zip file only has some C source code.
