TPS2663: TPS2663 : PLIM and ILIM tolerance

Part Number: TPS2663

TPS2663's Datasheet says that "PLIM : ±6%" and "ILIM : ±7%".

I want to know the variation of PLIM and ILIM.

Could you tell me the precision (e.x. ±3%) or σ data or measured distribution data of PLIM and ILIM?

  • Hi,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Can you let us know why that information is important. ?

    Best Regards, Rakesh

  • Hi, Rakesh san.
I'm considering whether the TPS2663 can be used for the power line of the USB Type-C port installed in our products, and would like to know the tolerance for the following reasons.
The USB Power Delivery standard says that it is possible to output up to 100W (20V x 5A), so we would like to set the power limit threshold to around 120W to ensure that 100W can be output.
On the other hand, in order to meet the IEC60950(62368) standard acquired by our products, the output must be limited to 100VA or less, so if the TPS2663 PLIM variation is ± 4W, I'll set "Type-C port's rating: 92W, and PLIM typ. =96W ".
In short, the better the PLIM or ILIM sense tolerance of the TPS2663, the closer the power can be output to 100W.

  • Hi,

    Thanks for the clarification.

I will check internal database and provide you by early next week
