TPS61040 - Efficiency??

I am using TPS61040 for Driving small OLED Display - 96 X 128 Pixel.

Parameters are as foloows:

Input Voltage: 3V

Output Voltage: 12V

Load Current: 2mA@12V

Input capacitor - 4.7uF

Output Capacitor - 1uF

FB Capacitor - 22pF

Inductor - 10uH

R1 - 2.2M

R2 - 270K

Output voltage generated is close to 12V, 200mV ripple.

Problem: Earlier I was using LT3464. This circuit use to draw very close to 10mA current from 3V supply.

With TPS61040, current is 13mA without any load and 90mA!!

Awaiting suggestions

The TPS61040 should easily provide the output power you want. Are you using one of our EVMs? If so, which one? What is the inductor part number if not the one on the EVM?

I have made my own PCB. Inductor is from general market.

Its not amount of power that I need, its efficiency of TPS61040.

You think Inductor can create such a big problem?

I found problem. It was OLED HW control via software that was skipped in new microcontrokller family we are working with.

Every thing is great. TPS61040 Rocks!!
