BQ24192: Audible noise

Hi Sir

So far our product use BQ24192 have audible noise for 5Vin~9Vin

When the Vin voltage reach to 12Vin ,the noise will be disappear

Do you have any experience before ?

Our Spec is 9Vin to 1cell / 3A charge current

What are the test conditions such as VBUS, VBAT, IBAT, VSYS, ISYS when the noise happens?

Hi Ning,

the condition as follow:

1.VBUS is 5v~9v.

2.VBAT is single cell 4.2v, and current limit seting to 3A.

3.Termination and pre-charge is use default seting.

4.VSYS and ISYS is turn off, disconnect the system side first and only the charge function.

the C228/C229/C230 capacitor has been remove, L2 has audio noise.

there any sugestion or idea to let us know and learn.

Hi,

When hearing noises, please probe SW pin voltage and inductor current, check if the effective frequency is greater or lower than the audible frequency. If the effective frequency is greater than audible frequency, the noise should be not related to the device.
