Hello bq community,

I want to reset the impedance tracking on my bq20z655 because the capacity is not measured / calculated right. How can I reset the impedance tracking ? Is it sufficient to remove all cells for an reset by the voltage ? Thank you for the support :-)

Hi Marcus,

A power cycling should reset the gauge device. Did you finish the learning cycle without any problem?

Hello Andy, thanks for your answer. I think when I started the learning phase the pack was not completely discharged to 10 V. If I perform the reset by separating the cells, is the data in the memory also gone?

Hello Andy, I have done the reset by voltage but the QEN flag is still set. Is it possible to set the bq20z655 to default values, is a ROM file available which I can program to bring the bq into default mode and low QEN flag ? The target should be that I can start the impedance tracking again.

Are you using bq20z655-R1 v0.03 firmware? If so, you can find the default senc file here.
