Can you tell me about your application?  How does the CPU control current?  Normally for a fixed 8.65 V output, the current will vary automatically according to the load.  Alternately you can regulate to a specific current and the output voltage will vary as required so that Vout = Iout * Rload.

the cpu control the initial current supply until the product is up and running and than continue with 1.2A until current start going down .

We have been using part # LM3481 buck/bust configuration which created a lot of noise and took a lot of space.

We are trying to minimize the noise and get a much better performance .

Actually 8:30 for me is 11:30 for you.  I believe it is 3 hours difference.  Actually this call will be more for me to understand your requirements.  We do have a low noise device that will release later this year that may work well for you.
