LM66100: 3 power sources oring

hi,

we wish to simulate LM66100 in TINA but the simulation model available is encrypted.

We need to oring 3 sources: the main battery, the supercap/backup and a power harvester.

As far as i understood from DS we need 4 devices, 2 to or-ing the first 2 sources and 2 to oring the output of the 1st oring with the 3rd source.

Correct?

    Hi Vincenzo,

    Welcome to E2E!

    Attached is the unencrypted PSPICE .lib file needed to import the LM66100 into TINA TI. For the ORing of the 3 sources, the configuration you described is a possibility as long as the 3 sources have different voltages. Source with similar voltages could run into a problem with the CE pin turn-on and turn-off thresholds. I'll discuss with my team to see if there's other known configurations of the LM66100 for ORing 3 sources.

    I wasn't able to find another instance where we've done ORing of three power sources with the LM66100, but the solution you described is a possibility.
