TPS55340: TPS55340 SEPIC function question

Hi TI expert,

May I know the TPS55340 can it  be operated at  6-21V input and  15V output or not ? (Input 6-21V can be auto switched)?

If it applied to boost function, can it also be operated at 6-21V dynamic input range?

    Hi Jin,

    It should be fine. The voltage stress on the switch is 36V.

    Note that during initial testing it is recommended to allow a 5-10% tolerance on the voltage rating to account for ringing on the SW node. Using effective layout techniques limits the ringing on the SW node. The ringing can be further reduced by using an external snubber which can be selected with the method presented in SLVA255.

    Could you explain what you mean by boost function?
