Hi, 

How to turn on Qi transmitter without Qi receiver module?

According to BQ500414Q (Qi Transmitter chip) Datasheet, 

I need Qi receiver chip (e.g. BQ51013) to turn on [a power transfer mode] of the Qi transmitter.

"Communication within the WPC is from the receiver to the transmitter, where the receiver tells the transmitter to

send power and how much"

However, i want to turn on the Qi transmitter without the Qi receiver chip.

Is it possible to turn on Qi transmitter by controlling input voltage of COMM pin?

If you know how to turn on Qi transmitter manually,

please let me know.

    Hello

    As you noted the Qi system will requires communications with the receiver to start and maintain power transfer.We do not provide the option to operate a transmitter in this configuration.

    Operating the transmitter in an open loop configuration, no receiver is not recommend and has risk.  In this mode the AC field in not controlled and no protection from FOD is provided, metal object in the field will heat up.
