Dear Sir,
I want to know the Vin, Vo and Io of your application, also your schematic.
Hello Helen,
Thank you very much for your reply.
Vin=8V, Vout=12V, Io=500mA.
I don't have the customer's schematic because they can't disclose the schematic due to a contract with their end customer.
But they said the schematic is almost same as the figure 12 in TPS61088 datasheet except R1, R2 and C4.
Their C4 (output capacitor) is 470uF.
Could you please tell me the cause of the tread? It was layout issue?
Thank you and best regards,
Kazuya.
Hi Kazuya-San,
Yes, the failure is caused by the poor layout. Their traces are long and thin.
In your Vin=8V, Vout=12V, Io=500mA application, you actually doesn't need to use 470uF cap, only 2pcs 22uF ceramic cap is OK for the usege.
Hello Helen,
Thank you very much for your reply.
Your reply is very helpful.
Thank you again and best regards,
Kazuya.
