TPS65094: PCH_PWROK power off delay

Part Number: TPS65094

Dear Expert,

May I consult you one question related to PCH_PWROK?

In my user's application, they are trying to add the delay of PCH_PWROK during power off.

Is there any register we can set just like the POK_DELAY: PCH_PWROK Delay Register for power on delay?

Or would you kindly suggest how to keep the voltage of PCH_PWROK for a period of time after power off?

Thanks for your help

Sincerely,

Edward

  • Hi Edward,

Unfortunately none of the power good outputs has a falling edge delay since the power is no longer good once one of the rails is disabled.

A workaround could be adding some kind of RC network + diode to allow it to power up immediately but be slower to power down, however that seems like a mistake. I would expect that keeping PCH_PWROK high while the PMIC output voltages are shut down would violate the processor specifications.

  • Hi Kevin,

Thanks for your feedback and suggestion.

I may have the customer try the workaround solution in their application.

    Sincerely,

    Edward
