BQ25120A: BQ25120A compatibility with RJD2048 coin cell

The battery voltage monitor of BQ is from 3.6 yo 4.65 however, the RJD2048 voltage range is from 3 to 4.2V so can I use this power management system with this coin cell? Also, how can I program the BQ to implement 60 mA for charging (0.5C for RJD2048 charging current requirement)?

Hello,

If the battery range is 3V to 4.2V, then the battery charge voltage is 4.2V which the BQ25120a can do. Look at the link below on help with programming the device.

Ok thanks, one last thing, if I wanted to connect LEDs to the management chip to indicate when to charge how could I go about that? Any resources TI has for that?

The BQ25120 doesnt have status pins so you'll have to read the status registers and then control the LED using GPIOs. The current consumption will depend on the pull up voltage and resistor.

Sorry, could you elaborate on your last statement for the power. Where in the datasheet can I look up what resistor and pull up I could provide?
