BQ25155: VOL problem between BQ25155 and CC2642R

We are using the MCU mentioned above (CC2642R) and charger (BQ25155). the problem is with the VOL value of BQ25155. 0.525V is the highest GPIO output voltage reliably interpreted as low by BQ25155. However, VIL(Highest GPIO input voltage reliably interpreted as a Low) is 0.42V. So 0.525V won't be interpreted as low by CC2642R.

How to solve this problem?

Is it even an issue? If it's not an issue?

Hello,

I don't think should be a problem as 0.25 of VIO is the max value which is unlikey. However, 1 way around this will be to use a lower VIO voltage of 1.8V.

Sorry, I cannot follow your reply! I do not understand anything you said! Can you explain it?

The above calculation on my initial question is given when the MCU and the charger are supplied with 2.1V.

If we supply 1.8V to both MCU and charger, the problem reduced but persists. When VOL=0.45V (charger) goes to VIL=0.36V (MCU), the problem will happen.

Hello,

The CC2642 parameters are spec'ed at 25C and the BQ25155 numbers are over temperature of -40C to 125C

Are you saying that CC2642 VOH, VIH, VIL and VOL is not a problem due to that? I have two questions for me to be sure that there is no problem;

1) what is the CC2642 VOH, VIH, VIL and VOL at over temperature of -40C to 125C?

2) what is the BQ25155 VOH, VIH, VIL and VOL at 25C?
