Hello,

My customer is concerning the gauge set in standby mode at factory due to minimize power consumption during shipping or in sock.

is this possible the gauge to stay in standby mode for long time?

in addition, max voltage of battery is about 4.2V. 

Which device type of bq27421YZFR-G1A or bq27421YZFR-G1B are good for their system?

    Hello Katsu,

    The bq27421 can be set in a hibernate mode which consumes 9uA, then you can reactivate the gauge with I2C communication.

    From the TRM the best option would be the bq27421-G1A for your specified voltage of 4.2V.
