REF2030: VIN tracking

Hello,

The microcontroller we are using in our application has a requirement that the analog reference voltage, supplied by the REF2030, must be within 300 mV of its VCC rail, including during power-up. I would like to know if the VREF pin of the REF2030 tracks VIN while VIN is powering up, and if not, does VREF stay at least within 300 mV of VIN?

Hi Narek,

This is dependent on the system and application. For example if VREF has a large output cap, the output will be slower and not be within 300mV of VIN. The REF REF20 has a start up typical time of 500us with a 1uF cap. If VIN ramps harder than 5V/500us then VREF cannot track such a fast VIN.
