Hi team,

My customer would like to know when MCU send RESET command to BQ27z561, what kind of actions will be excuted?

What items will be different?

Will MCU needs to reset bq27z561 when battery insert for the 1st time?

Hi Paul,

Resetting the gauge by sending the RESET command is not a good idea. The gauge should never be reset or even power cycled unless the power supply to the gauge drops below the minimum required for the gauge to work.

Customers don't need to send the RESET command when the battery is inserted for 1st time. The gauge will go through POR and then be initialized after it is powered on.
