Which TI chip is like the MAX20078 effect

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3409, TPS92518

hello ,I found an article describing .

1:General solution:

The number of power-on diodes in the string of 12 LEDs tested in this test surged from 8 to 12. The current and voltage fluctuations caused by the output voltage step require tens of microseconds to extinguish. The high dimming ratio PWM dimming circuit will only sample this current within the first few microseconds, at this time the amplitude is decreasing, causing the dimming brightness and color to be incorrect.

2:maxim solution

MAX20078's proprietary architecture provides almost error-free transient response. The number of LEDs increased from 8 to 12, without any significant fluctuations in output voltage or current.

I want to know which TI LED driver chip is like the MAX20078 effect.

Thanks very much,

  • Hello,

If you are looking for fast response time with the output voltage changing I would look at the TPS92515A, LM3409 or the TPS92518.  These are hysteretic controllers that do not have compensation to adjust when the input or output voltage changes.

    Best Regards,
