UCD9090A: Monitored Values - Update Rate & Log File Export?

Part Number: UCD9090A

Customer is using the FUSION DIGITAL POWER DESIGNER software for the evaluation of UCD9090A, to obersve the current flowing through a given rail.

1]
It looks like the register for storing the current measurement result is updated every 2ms, but how is the monitored value updated? (several times per second...?)

2]
Is there any way to export this data in a log file, with the actual measurements every 2ms?

3]
Also, it looks like updating the polling interval doesn't change the monitored value's update rate...why?

Thanks,

Darren

  • Hello

#1. The current monitoring is done at 200us/rail. if 10 rails are configured regardless type, it is updated 2ms.What do you mean monitoring value update? the value is read out by GUI and display. by default, GUI reads every 500ms for all rails. you can adjust it under monitor tab.

#2. you can use device read/write stress test(under Tools menu) to select the interesting parameter to read. click the select parameter to select the parameter. save the file to the log. Please disable the polling before using stress test.

#3. The current is average of last 4 measurements. it could be just that current is the same or too small to detect.
