TLC5957: Signage LED display drivers conception

Hi,

I have to make a Signage LED display drivers with a matrice led of 7x56 RGB LEDs .

I found the AN SLVUAF0. Is the TLC5957 best component for my applcation ?

Is there a limitation on how many TLC5957 with can daisy chain ?

Hi Cyril,

TLC5974 is OK for 7x56 RGB LED. We also have TLC59581 / TLC59582 for such RGB LED application.

There is no limitation of the number of daisy chain, but more IC cascaded, the frequency requirement of GCLK is higher.

Hi,

Have you got a up to date component to drive columns ?

I've spotted TLC59213 to drive Columns but simple MOS is maybe the best solution ?

The Vled will ve 24V
