Is there any way to disable short-circuit protection function for BQ20Z655-R1?

    We would not recommend disabling short circuit protections, this could lead to dangerous situations for the batteries without protection.

    I know that is risky for disabling short circuit protection. However,

    my system could provide short circuit protection less effective than BQ20Z655 but battery still stay safe. Because of that I need to disable BQ20Z655's short circuit protection.

    Hello Svgl,

    I don't believe there is a way to completely disable the short circuit protections, you can change the thresholds of the AFE SC Chg Cfg and AFE SC Dsg Cfg to the maximum which would allow some protection but might let your other protection work first.
