Hi team,

My customer now uses BQ40Z80, and they can use bqstudio+EV2400+EVM to perform regular function.

Now they designed their own board, but they found the board can't communicate with bqstudio via EV2400 after power up. They wonder if there is any wrong with their schematic design. Please see as below. Can you review the schematic for us? Thank you!

Hello Taoran,

The gauge is in shutdown and it needs to detect a voltage on the PACK pin to wake up. SInce you have separate charge and discharge paths you will have to apply the voltage across P+1 and P-1 to wake up the gauge then it will communicate.

We have tried connect P+1 to VBAT, but communication still can't work...

Hi Andy,

No, still pending in customer side. We already connect the PACK pin to VBAT, still failing to perform communication. Do you have any suggestion on this? Thanks!

Hi Gary,

Remove D4 and apply voltage across C+ and C-. Also check if TS1 pin is toggling.
