TPS63000: Converter pulling excess current when enabled

Part Number: TPS63000

Hi all

I have an odd (and urgent!) issue with a design using the TPS63000; it is set up to give an output voltage of 3.6V, and although I've just noticed the ground fill on the top layer did not connect to the exposed pad on the device, there is a pretty low impedance path thanks to plenty of vias and a dedicated ground layer.

Anyway, when applying power with the enable pin low all is well, but when I enable the device with a 3.3V 'enable' signal the bench supply goes into CC mode as this part is trying to pull a lot of current.

I'm a bit stumped as I've used the fixed voltage variant of this part in the past with no problems.

Am I missing something really obvious (quite likely!)
