TPS22913: EN status

Part Number: TPS22913

Hi Team,

Here is a question on TPS22913C .

To solve other question on load, customer hope to take below EN control to make the Vout drops slowly. Please kindly check if it is OK or there is some concern.

EN is pulled low for 80us first, then pulled high 300us, then pull low 10us. After 49 cycles of this control, EN is pulled low.

I see in datasheet, Ton time is above 300us, so the MOS should be in linear mode. Is the thermal an issue? Thanks.

  • Hi Given,

    Welcome to E2E!

The TPS22913C has quick output discharge when the device is disabled which is something not desirable when the system needs a slow ramp down of Vout. Would you be able to give me some details on why the TPS22913C was chosen for this application?

Additionally, I have never seen the mentioned EN control sequence been used to control the output drop when disabling the switch. Has the customer been able to test the sequence to see the behavior of the output?

    Best regards,

    Andy Robles
