BQ40Z50: Shutdown mode and SMBus

Are there any registers that can be read when the BQ40Z50 has been placed in shutdown mode. Need some way of identifying that a battery has been connected even if it is shutdown mode.

Hello user,

Once the BQ40Z50 enters SHUTDOWN mode, there are no voltage nor current measurements being performed by the device.

Hi, thanks for that. I'd sort of assumed that but it was more in terms of accessing the management registers or anything so that I had a way of knowing the device was present

Hello user,

You will have no way to access the registers while it is in SHUTDOWN mode, it has to be awakened in order to do so.
