Design Hardware With Battery & USB Operated with current capacity of 1.5A

TI Support Team,

I want to make Design with USB & Battery (4XAA alkaline) Operated.

Design will work on USB when Battery available.

Design will work with battery only when USB supply is absent.

supply need to be switched automatically so design will get continuous power.

can you suggest any device or any solution for this.

Hoping for quick and best resolution

Hi Chand,

TPS25942x and TPS25944x are the right devices for your application.

Please refer to section 10.3.1.2 of the device datasheet for more understanding on priority power muxing configuration.

i am looking for solution which can be implemented by low price and with less number of components.

can you suggest any device or discrete circuit for same?

device or discrete circuit can be controlled by USB input.

like when USB is available it disconnect battery and when USB is absent at that time system will work on Battery.

solution is like it have very low quiescent current or shutdown current.

due to this i will get maximum battery life
