BQ24640: BQ24640 PG pin contect LED flash

Part Number: BQ24640

Hello, I am currently using BQ24640, using the recommended schematic diagram. The circuit is working normally.

As expected: charging voltage is set to about 11.4V.Charging current around 350mA, 12V/30F plug-in capacity, charging time of 15 minutes. When the overcapacity voltage reaches 11.4V, the multimeter shows the charging current is zero, but then the PG pin indicator will flash.

May I ask what is the reason for the LED flashing of PG pin at this time? Thank you!

  • Hi,

What is the input voltage? Can you capture a waveform showing the oscillation, with signals VCC, SRN, PG and charge current? PG is off during SLEEP mode, so most likely charger is entering a condition where it is oscillating into and out of SLEEP mode, based off of test conditions. Also portion of the schematic is incomplete and doesn't show full schematic,
