Hi,

Our customer have below 2 types of battery pack, do we have more suitable devices? Only pack+ and pack - is open.

Battery material is LiFeO4。

Hi Rock,

BQ34z100-G1 is a fuel gauge only, there is no protection or balancing integrated. For up to 4S solution we also have BQ40z50-R2 (has protection and cell balancing integrated), that can handle LFP chemistry using the LFP_Relax bit as described in the TRM section 6.6: https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sluua43a/sluua43a.pdf

Hi Rushi,

I promoted BQ40Z50-R2 before, but the customer said only pack+ and pack- are open, they can't connect every cell + and -.

They just need the gauge function.

So I promote BQ34Z100-G1 to this customer. I want to confirm it with you.

If customer can't connect every cell then BQ34z100-G1 is the proper device.
