TPS3703-Q1: No Output Signal

Part Number: TPS3703-Q1

Hello everyone,

we use the TPS3703-Q1 for an over- and undervoltage proctection of 1.8V. To generate the 1.8V we are using the TPS73118.

At 1V8 we measured the 1.8V supply which will generate from the TPS73118. If we measure at Pin 4 from the TPS3703-Q1 we got a low level signal. But we shall get a high level signal.
Furthermore I have changed the R528 to a 10k resistor, but nothing have changed.

In addition, if we disconnect the R534 and supply the circuit with an external 1.8V supply, the circuit is working. And I'm not really sure why we have there an issue.

Do you have any idea why this circuit does not work?
Do you have some improvements for our case?

Thank you so much!

Best regards

Simon

  • Simon,

Please check the TPS73118 output for an accurate voltage measurement. The TPS37118 has an output voltage accuracy of +/- 0.5% but the typical voltage monitor accuracy of TPS3703-Q1 is +/- 0.25%. It is possible that the output voltage of TPS37118 is outside of the window of TPS3703-Q1 which is why when using a voltage supply directly the circuit works. I recommend removing R534 as this provides additional inaccuracy and potential voltage drop. Please verify the output voltage of TPS37118 and make sure this is within 0.25% of 1.8V nominal.
