BQ28Z610: Is Firmware srec version v1_01 compatible with BQ28z610?

Hi Team,

I updated the firmware version of the bms for our device (BQ28Z610) to v1_01 coming from v0_17. It was successful and also working with the bms with bqstudio after update seems ok. I just would like to use the latest fw version as much as possible. I also read on this post the the only difference between BQ28Z610 and BQ28Z610-R1 is the fix for silicon bug regarding timing. Hope this is not an issue. Thanks!

    Hello Adrian,

    Yes, if you are able to program and export a gg.csv file, it means the programming is successful.

    The gg.csv file should show the FW version and build number.

    However, I think what you mean is the new silicon. You may be able to program the bq28z610-R1 onto existing silicon, but that will not eliminate the issue highlighted in the changelog. You will need to order new silicon for the bq28z610-R1.
